ASRock X399 Taichi USB 3.1 ATX
AMD Motherboard Introduced not too long ago, the Taichi line-up of
ASRock motherboard is now their most popular and not surprisingly their most recommended, and so we have here the ASRock X399 Taichi. Unlike the old Taichi boards, the new range of Taichi boards are grey in color instead of white. Being an X399 chipset
motherboard, the DIMM banks are found on both sides of the CPU socket thus the smaller heatsinks, and I like it that ASRock made it simple for the X399 Taichi.
On the upper corner you’ll see there’s the EPS12V 4-pin connector, the 8-pin is located at another corner of the board. Next pic please!
The 8-pin connector is here which is quite an unusual spot. What’s even more unusual is that it’s placed a distance away from the ATX12V connector and aligned perpendicular to it. It also worth noting that the X399 Taichi comes with 11-phase power design for some serious power delivery.
On the other corner of the real estate you’ll see that it comes with debug LED, power and reset buttons and even 3x Ultra M.2 socket and a host of SATA ports. There’s also a 6-pin PCI-E power connector right there next to the SATA ports. The board has 4x steel reinforced PCI-E slots that supports 4-way graphics configuration supporting Nvidia SLI and AMD CrossfireX, on the audio department the board comes with Purity Sound 4
with Realtek ALC1220 codec system.
